The Klipsch Reference Premiere RP-8000F II floorstanding speaker tops the 2022 Klipsch Reference Premiere speaker range from the American manufacturer. Replacing the Klipsch Reference Premiere RP-8000F, the Klipsch RP-8000F II  incorporates two new Cerametallic drivers to increase the power handling to 150W RMS (up to 600W peak) and ensure more precise sound reproduction. The cabinet is reinforced and features smoother lines and a premium finish that sets it apart from the previous generation.

The Reference Premiere range has been the heart of Klipsch's offering for years. The compact, floorstanding, center, surround, and Atmos speakers that comprise it benefit from sophisticated, high-performance technologies. For this 2022 edition, the manufacturer has updated its most iconic range with numerous optimizations to produce even more faithful and powerful sound. With the Klipsch Reference Premiere RP-8000F II floorstanding speaker, this capability takes shape thanks to two new 20cm mid/bass drivers. These drivers utilize a Cerametallic cone combined with a thin layer of sprayed copper. This design provides an ultra-rigid diaphragm cone conducive to low distortion. Thanks to a new voice coil with a diameter 70% larger, power handling is maximized, while also maximizing diaphragm control for a more linear and faithful sound reproduction. The new magnetic assembly structure improves bass reproduction, while new aluminum rings reduce distortion.

For decades, the horns that equip Klipsch speakers have been one of their most iconic distinguishing features. The American manufacturer has used this technique since the invention of the loudspeaker, at a time when amplifiers produced only a handful of watts. This new generation of Klipsch RP-8000F II speakers places its tweeter at the heart of a Tractrix horn. This horn benefits from a new,  larger, edge-to-edge design to significantly improve the propagation of mid and high frequencies to the listener, resulting in greater precision in the spatialization of the soundstage. The Tractrix horn also increases the tweeter's efficiency in the midrange frequencies, thus requiring less amplifier power. In addition, the 25mm titanium dome tweeter is mounted on an LTS suspension to ensure excellent damping of cabinet vibrations. Finally, a waveguide ensures better phase coherence for optimal perception of different frequencies. The sound delivered by the  Klipsch RP-8000F II speaker  is therefore easily intelligible, precise and affected by very little distortion.

The Klipsch Reference Premiere RP-8000F II floorstanding speaker is constructed from a thick MDF chassis. It features multiple internal braces and a divided internal space to suppress unwanted vibrations and resonances. The cabinet is bass-reflex loaded with Tractrix ports to ensure smoother airflow and minimize turbulence. Less turbulent air helps reduce port noise for clearer, more powerful bass.
